Department of science

The Department of Science is a structural unit that ensures the coordination, development and support of research activities at the university. The main task of the department is to create conditions for productive scientific work of teachers, graduate students and students, as well as the integration of the university into the national and international scientific space.
The Department of Science promotes the implementation of scientific projects, publication activity, conferences, participation in grants and the development of the academic potential of the university.

STRATEGIC GOAL
Creation of an effective management system for the university's research activities, ensuring the growth of scientific potential, academic reputation and contribution to the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan and the region.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
1. Development of the University's scientific infrastructure
- Organization of scientific laboratories, centers and platforms for research;
- Support for scientific journals, collections, and databases.
2. Stimulating the scientific activity of teachers and students
- Encouraging publications in indexed journals (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.);
- Development of the system of scientific grants, scholarships and awards;
- Organization of student and postgraduate scientific circles and societies.
3. Organization and holding of scientific events
- Conducting international and national conferences, forums, and symposiums;
- Facilitating staff participation in external scientific events.
4. Development of international scientific cooperation
- Establishing links with foreign scientific institutes and research centers;
- Implementation of joint research projects and publications;
- Participation in international grant competitions (ERASMUS+, Horizon Europe, etc.).
5. Improving the effectiveness of scientific reporting and analytics
- Maintaining scientific portfolios of employees;
- Preparation of reports on the scientific activities of the university;
- Analysis of scientific productivity indicators (Hirsch index, citation, publication activity).
6. Integration of science and education
- Implementation of scientific research results in the educational process;
- Support for research master's and doctoral programs;
- Training of scientific personnel through postgraduate studies and mentoring.
