Medicinal Botanical Garden
The Medicinal Botanical Garden is a structural subdivision of the Department of Pharmacy at the university and is used for environmental protection, research, educational, and practical purposes.
The university's botanical garden operates with the aim of preserving biodiversity and enriching the plant world, as well as promoting scientific, educational, and outreach activities.
The main tasks of the botanical garden include:

Preserving and studying plant biodiversity, including local flora;

Creating and maintaining a gene pool of global plant flora through introduction methods within the garden’s territory;

Developing approaches for the introduction and study of plant species and populations;

Conducting scientific research;

Participating in student training;

Promoting bioecological knowledge and supporting the development of dendrolandscape and phytodesign culture, as well as medicinal and other types of plant cultivation in the region.
Research Activities
Scientific research in the university's botanical garden is carried out in the following areas:
a) Organizing special exhibitions, collection and experimental plots, nurseries, herbaria, and auxiliary laboratories;
b) Organizing expeditions and participating in expeditions of other institutions to study and mobilize plant resources, and to enrich plant collections;
c) Creating seed banks and exchanging seeds and live plants with various institutions and organizations;
d) Initial cultivation, breeding, and propagation of economically valuable plants from natural flora and introduced cultivated species for their integration into national agriculture;
e) Developing scientific principles and methods for protecting introduced plants from pests and diseases;
f) Developing scientific foundations for ornamental horticulture and landscape architecture;
g) Holding scientific conferences and meetings;
h) Publishing scientific papers, popular science literature, seed catalogs, guides, and other publications related to research and the promotion of botanical gardens and dendrological parks.
The priority focus of the garden’s work is the study and preservation of regional biodiversity.
