THE REPUBLICAN SPRING EXHIBITION IN BISHKEK: ART AS A LINK BETWEEN GENERATIONS

On April 29, 2025, a landmark cultural event took place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan – the grand opening of the Spring Republican Exhibition. The exhibition unfolded simultaneously at three venues: the National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, Oak Park and the Memorial House Museum of O.M. Manuilova, which allowed the audience to present the most complete panorama of contemporary art in the country.

Organized by the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic, the exhibition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. This theme was deeply reflected in the works of the participants, where each painting, sculpture or installation became a kind of bridge between the past and the present.

A special feature of the current exhibition is the harmonious combination of traditional and modern art forms. The exhibition featured:

  • Classical painting and graphics
  • Sculptural compositions
  • Innovative forms of decorative and applied art
  • Experimental installations

The Eurasian International University has traditionally demonstrated a high level of training for its students and teachers. The works of the teachers of the Department of Design, Media and Communications - U.A. Zakirov, S.K. Toktoev and B.K. Sadykov - were distinguished by professional skill and depth of artistic expression. The painting by Ruslan Ibraimov, a 3rd year student, who was awarded an incentive prize by the competition committee, received special praise.

It is important to note that such exhibitions perform several significant functions:

  1. Preservation of historical memory
  2. Support for young talents
  3. Development of intergenerational dialogue
  4. Strengthening cultural ties between the regions

"The Art School continues to demonstrate its achievements not only at the national, but also at the international level. Participation in such projects confirms the university's status as one of the centers of art education in Central Asia," said V.E.Bektenova, Head of the Department of Design, Media and Communication.

The Department of Design, Media and Communications of the University expresses its gratitude to the organizers of the exhibition and congratulates all participants, especially noting the success of Ruslan Ibraimov. These achievements testify to the great potential of Kyrgyz art and its bright future.
