Rosa Amanova, Rector of Eurasian International University, joins the world music community at the 54th IASA conference and 4th ICTMD forum in Istanbul
With the support of the Istanbul University State Conservatory, two major music events began from 11 to 15 September: the 54th conference of the International Association of Audio and Visual Archives (IASA) and the 4th Forum of the International Council of Traditional Music and Dance (ICTMD).
The event was held at the Congress and Cultural Center of Fuata Sezgin and included a fascinating concert with musicians performing traditional music and dancing. Among the outstanding guests at the event was professor and doctor of science Rosa Amanova, rector of the Eurasian International University.
Rosa Amanova joined the music community together with the local organization of the Department of Ethnomusicology, headed by Seyit Jöre of Istanbul University. The opening concert brought together artists and musical groups from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as prominent ensembles such as the State Folk Dance Ensemble of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Wisdom Ensemble and Maydan Meschleri.
The events of IASA and ICTMD from September 11 to 15 promise to become important platforms for knowledge exchange and cultural enrichment, and Rosa Asanova, as a participant, will contribute to strengthening international musical ties and understanding.
