On February 28 in Bishkek, in the hall of the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic named after Toktogul Satylganov, at the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the forum “Safe Country” was held. stable future”.

The purpose of the forum is to strengthen security and law and order in the country, implement the National Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept of State Policy in the field of crime prevention for 2022–2028, increase the level of protection of citizens, reduce crime level, identifying and eliminating the causes and conditions conducive to the commission of crimes.

The forum was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Major General of Police Oktyabr Urmambetov, Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurbek Sydygaliev, First Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Mirlan Baygonchokov, Chairman of the Generals Club Sadyrbek Dubanaev, Director of the Association support for the visiting reception police Shamshybek Mamyrov, head of the Bishkek City Internal Affairs Directorate Azamat Toktonaliev,  Deputy Chairman of the Bishkek City Council of Deputies Zhyldyzbek Abdraimov, deputies of local councils, heads of city and district departments of internal affairs, heads and employees of institutions, enterprises and local governments.

Participants were shown videos prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek on the prevention of crimes and offenses. Then a short play “Family Violence” was shown, prepared by actors of the Bishkek City Drama Theater named after Asanbek Umuraliev.

Also, information materials about the activities of mobile police reception centers, badges, brochures and notebooks with the event logo were distributed.

Addressing the audience, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktyabr Urmambetov expressed words of gratitude on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their contribution to strengthening the security of the population.

«In order to ensure high-quality public order and safety of the population in the country, on May 5, 2021, the law “On the Fundamentals of Crime Prevention” was adopted, which states that the main direction is strengthening security, reducing the level of crime, delinquency, timely identification and elimination of their causes,” said the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Deputy Minister emphasized that coordination of actions of government bodies and civil society institutions in the fight against offenses and crime is becoming relevant and necessary.

Addressing residents of the capital, October Urmambetov noted that the forum is being held in all cities and regions of the country, and work is being done to inform the population. In addition, to ensure security throughout the republic, more than 3 thousand video cameras have been installed in public places and on the streets, and round-the-clock monitoring is carried out. Thus, with the help of a video surveillance system in Bishkek during 2023, 404 crimes were detected, about 600 people who were wanted were detained.

” Undoubtedly, every citizen who takes part in events aimed at ensuring the security of the people, strengthening law and order, stability in the country is a patriot who is not indifferent to our future,” concluded Oktyabr Urmambetov.

At the end of the event, departmental awards were presented to police officers and government officials who work closely with the police. In order to increase the effectiveness of preventive work, a corresponding resolution was adopted.
