Participation of the leadership of the EIU at an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic

March 7, 2024 with the participation of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic – Head of Administration  President of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov held an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of heads of secondary general, secondary vocational and higher professional education.

The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers congratulated those present on the upcoming International Women's Day on March 8, wishing them health, prosperity, happiness and success. 

Akylbek Japarov emphasized that “the education sector is the core of the country’s future and requires special attention. We need fundamental changes in education. Human capital is our greatest wealth.”  The main condition for achieving the ambitious goals set by the Head of State for socio-economic development is a multiple increase in labor productivity and the quality of knowledge and skills of our youth,” said Akylbek Japarov.

Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, delivered a report on the results of work in 2023 and plans for 2024. In his speech   Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva presented 7 priority areas for the development of education and science in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024-2026.

Direction 1: Preschool education and early childhood development

Goal: During 2024, it is necessary to achieve 40% coverage of preschool education.

Direction 2: Quality of education

Goal: By 2030 enter the top 30 countries for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Direction 3: Digital education

Goal: Ensure digitalization of education at the level of developed countries.

Direction 4: State language

Goal: Create an effective language learning system.

Direction 5: Working with the community (interaction with parents and raising children)

Goal: To ensure the protection of children, their development and readiness for the future

Direction 6: Optimization of management (within the framework of administrative-territorial reform)

Goal: Introduce a new model of the education management system.

Direction 7: Competitive professional education

Goal: Increase the level of competitiveness of professional education.

 

Following the results of the speech, the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers gave a number of instructions for higher educational institutions and scientific institutions.
