Ensuring the safety of foreign students and the transition to online learning

In pursuance of orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 771/1 and 20-3/1043 dated May 18, 2024, in order to ensure the safety of foreign students in connection with the events that occurred in Bishkek on May 18, 2024, the university carried out the following activities works:
• A headquarters has been created to oversee the process of ensuring the safety of foreign students.
• The dean’s office drew up a duty schedule for the university and the places of residence of foreign students, and also organized explanatory work to prevent conflicts among local students and sent information about the actual places of residence of students to the Bishkek City Internal Affairs Directorate for taking measures to ensure security.
• The dormitory commandant provided additional accommodation for students;
• Accounting allocated funds for food and travel expenses;
• The Department of Legal Support and Security Services has strengthened security measures and organized duty in cooperation with the relevant authorities;
