EIU came to the defense of students from India and Pakistan

Kyrgyzstan has always been a country that values and supports cultural diversity. In these difficult times, it is especially important to show solidarity and care for those who are temporarily away from their home. In connection with the events that occurred in Bishkek on May 17-18, 2024, EIU staff and teachers stood up in defense of foreign students. The EIU administration expressed serious concern for their lives and safety. Together with the teaching staff, measures are being taken to ensure peace of mind among foreign students living in hostels and dormitories of the university. Measures are being taken to provide those in need with food and, if necessary, to relocate students from hostels to university dormitories. Every day, together with law enforcement agencies, a vigil is organized near the EIU dormitory and communication is maintained with students living in hostels.

In these difficult times, it is especially important to show solidarity and care for those who are temporarily away from their home. Eurasian International University's efforts are aimed at creating a safe and supportive environment for all students, regardless of their nationality. This approach not only helps strengthen international ties, but also shows the true values of Kyrgyz society - respect, kindness and hospitality.
