The Union of Ethnic Designers of Kazakhstan, together with the mayor's office of Almaty, organized a fair dedicated to the Nooruz (Nauryz) holiday. The main goal of the event is to popularize and support Kazakh national crafts, attract the attention of young people to art and revive national traditions.

More than 100 professional craftsmen and art teachers presented leather, wood and jewelry at the fair. The fashion show in national costumes aroused particular interest. In addition, Kazakh designers and craftsmen, together with colleagues from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia, demonstrated their skills.

Designers from Kyrgyzstan were invited to the event, and students of the Eurasian International University presented the collection “And the day lasts longer than a century,” created based on the work of Chingiz Aitmatov. The project manager is Venera Emilovna Bektenova, head of the Department of Design, Media and Communications.

The students were presented with certificates and letters of appreciation for their contributions to the promotion of cultural heritage.
