I International Symposium "TRADITIONAL MUSICAL ART AND ETHNODESIGN"
April 24, 2024, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Republics The State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent) hosted the I International Symposium “TRADITIONAL MUSICAL ART AND ETHNODESIGN”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of traditional music and World Design Day, which is celebrated on April 27.
In the Week of Traditional Music, the educational institution “Eurasian International University” gathered on its site ethnomusicologists, cultural experts, professionals in the field of fashion, art and design, united students from universities and colleges of Kyrgyzstan.
Public unions took part in the symposium – Union of Designers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Union of Artists, Eurasian Union of Designers Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of near and far abroad: Russia, Turkey, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, China, etc.
Designers from leading universities of the Kyrgyz Republic took an active part in the symposium: KSTU named after I. Razzakov, OSPO at KSTU named after I. Razzakov, KRSU named after. B. Yeltsin, KSU named after I. Arabaev, College “KEDIS”, Institute of Innovative Professions, Art Academy named after Sydykov, Issyk-Kul State University named after K. Tynystanov, Osh State University, Osh Technological University.
A catwalk show of the creative works of designers was held, accompanied by traditional music performed by young talents of the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and art named after B. Beishenaliev.
This platform allowed scientists, designers, artists, craftsmen and experts to combine their scientific research, creative ideas and suggestions.
As a result of the symposium, a resolution was adopted on the development of traditional musical art and enic design in Kyrgyzstan, further goals and objectives were developed, a Bulletin was issued, memorandums of cooperation with universities and public organizations were signed .
